The Bedford2020.org website has been set up as the central resource for the Bedford 2020 Coalition.  The Bedford 2020 Coalition is a non-profit corporation whose mission is “to lead, organize and promote a community wide effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 20% by 2020 and to create a sustainable community that conserves its natural resources.”

This community-wide effort will be carried out through the actions of ten Task Forces whose work will focus on the following areas or groups: Energy, Waste/Recycling, Food/Agriculture, Transportation, Water/Land Use, PR/Marketing, Residents, Businesses, Schools, and  Civic/Religious Entities.

The work of Bedford 2020 Coalition has just begun. Our Task Force groups are in formation and our projects are only beginning to be launched. As we move forward with the support of the entire community, we expect that many of the sections of the website will become more developed.
